Cargèse Institute of Scientific Studies
20130 Cargèse, Corsica, France

A total of 45 PhD students, postdoctoral researchers and researchers gathered at the IESC in Cargèse, Corsica, to take part in the first international and transdisciplinary school on DNA data storage.

  • tutorials on DNA synthesis and sequencing,
  • scientific sessions on data compression and constrained coding,
  • sessions focusing on error correction and data recovery,
  • presentations by industry representatives on the security of DNA storage and practical developments in the sector,
  • academic lectures, a practical sequencing and decoding challenge,
  • two poster sessions,
  • plenty of opportunities for researchers and students to exchange ideas

We are delighted with this first edition of the PEPR MoleculArXiv School!
The feedback has been very positive. Participants came from all over the world and from a variety of disciplines, including chemistry, information science and bioinformatics. This is precisely the aim of the school: to foster interdisciplinary exchanges at an international level, in order to strengthen and share knowledge on massive data storage using DNA and artificial polymers. We are already preparing the 2027 edition to enhance the experience on offer, ensuring it meets students’ expectations and keeps pace with scientific advances.
